2026–2027 Admission Procedures

STEP 1: APPLICATION 

Along with the submission of your online application, you will be asked to submit the following on behalf of the student:

  1. Birth Certificate
  2. Most recent Report Card
  3. Most recent Standardized Test Scores (SBAC, STAR, VTCAP, NWEA, etc.)

A student entering kindergarten must be 5 years old by October 1.

STEP 2: STUDENT SCREENING AND INTERVIEW

When the application file is complete, you will be contacted to schedule an in-person student screening and family interview. Students entering Preschool through 1st grade will screen with their prospective teacher for approximately 25 minutes. Students entering 2nd grade through 12th grade will take an online screening test.  The online screening test lasts about one hour and covers math and reading proficiency. Test results will be shared at the student interview by our head of school. Interviews take approximately 30 minutes. At least one parent is required to attend with the student.

STEP 3: ACCEPTANCE

Within one week of the interview, the GCS Admissions Panel will make a decision regarding the acceptance of the student. This decision will be sent to the parents via email along with enrollment instructions.

STEP 4: ENROLLMENT

Along with the submission of your online enrollment, you will be asked to submit the following:

  1. Non-refundable Enrollment Deposit of $250 per student
  2. Payment Plan selection
  3. Immunization Record

If the student has been accepted to a waitlisted class, parents will not be able to enroll until space becomes available.
